Frequently asked questions

When should I book flights?

We recommend booking 6-8 months in advance to avoid any last-minute changes or fees. Flights can usually be booked up to 10 months ahead.

What’s the best way to pay while in Cancun?

Use a credit card and always opt to pay in the local currency (Mexican Pesos). Credit card issuers usually offer better exchange rates than local merchants.

Should I bring cash?

Yes, bring some USD or Mexican Pesos in small denominations for tips. The hotel staff will appreciate it!

What activities are available at the resort?

The resort offers plenty of fun for guests of all ages! Here are some recommendations:

Golf: Courses are available a few kilometres away for an additional cost.

Swim with Dolphins: Choose options close to the resort for a quicker experience. Be mindful that some tours combine activities and can be tiring for the next day.

  • Explore Mayan Ruins:

    • Chichen Itza: A must-see and one of the 7 Wonders of the World, located about 2 hours from the resort. Be prepared for a full day that often includes a visit to a historic colonial town and a swim in a cenote. Skip this if you’re "enguayabado" (hungover from too many cervezas).

    • Coba or Tulum: Shorter trips with incredible history and views.

Is Cancun safe?

Cancun is generally safe, but remember: "No dar papaya!" (Translation: Don’t flash valuables in public.) Keep your belongings secure, just as you would in any busy city.
